On Monday Darryl and I finally got a chance to photograph our living room space that I have been working on since July. Yes, you read right… July. There was a huge list that needed to be done, and I wrote about it here if you have a few hours… just kidding.
Before I reveal the photos next week I think it’s appropriate to “show and tell” some history and BEFORE Photos of this space that we call OUR HOME.
This picture represents the outdated tile the builders installed in our home now almost 9 years ago. It’s hard to believe that we have been here that long, but we have loved the location of our home so much, and the layout of our home is just perfect for us! Lots of windows, lots of light, and lots of space for our little kiddies to roam about! You might even see the kids and I boogying about to dance music in the living room!
This is Darryl hard at work removing old trim around the windows in preparation to put in all the new window trim. This is the past wall colour that I painted one the walls about 4 years ago. It works really well with the wood floors we installed that same year. I wrote about the floors we chose here. We ripped out the plain white carpet and Darryl worked day and night for a few weeks after work and in the evening installing it. So much work, but so worth it! To this day I think it’s the best decision that we ever made in our home without a doubt!
So that’s a bit of the before shots that I have for you.
This room has been an every changing room as there have been lots of change to how we have used this space for the last 9 years! This has been a great room to work in, but the best part about it now is that it is a better place to store our belongings, spend time with our family and friends, and relax when we give ourselves permission to do so.
Stay tuned for the photos coming soon, I promise!!!!
